Course Details
Prerequisites: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have held a USSF E License for a minimum of 12 months (send a copy to Mike Smith at the address shown above) or have the approval of the OYSA State Head Coach to attend.
Waivers of this prerequisite will be considered on an individual basis. Applicants who are not members of OYSA or another State Association are required to pay a $25 nonmember fee that includes a background check.
Course Length: 40-44 hours, including classroom instruction, field instruction, on-field practice coaching, oral exams, take home tests, and on-field practical exams.
Testing: Candidates must pass 4 tests during the course, 2 written take home tests, an oral examination, and an on-field practical session. The D license is a pass and fail course. Candidates will be assigned a grade of National D, State D, or Fail at the completion of the course. Candidates must attend all sessions to obtain the D License certificate.
Cost: $300 per candidate for course; Add $25 if you are not a member of a USYS State Association.
Candidates Receive: 40-44 hours of instruction, US Soccer''''''''s Best Practices manual, D License Candidates Manual, FIFA Laws of the Game book, and a license certificate.
Coaches should bring water, a ball with your name on it and should be prepared to play unless you have an injury.
